The Girl Behind The Blog VLOG: "How has blogging changed you?"

Super excited to be co-hosting this month's
"The Girl Behind The Blog" VLOG link up with Ashley at 5ohwifey!
This link up she started has been such a fun way to get to know bloggy friends...on a whole new face-to-face level.

5ohwifey

but the topic this month was "How has blogging changed you"?
There were a few short questions to answer, and I tried to keep it to a decent time limit!
It is hard to talk only for a few minutes about something that has impacted and blessed your life so much!! :)

Anywho, here goes!

After I made this, I of course kept thinking about things I should have said. :)

One more thing I would add, about how blogging has changed me, is this:
It has changed the way I view community and fellowship.
I think especially as Believers, we think there is ONE way to have fellowship with others.
And if you are reading/watching this and are not a blogger, then it may be a little difficult to understand. But if you know what Im talking about, then you know how deeply the Lord can connect women through blogging and through social media.
There are girls that I text with almost daily.
I'm even going on a girls trip with some of them in a few months! Can you believe that?
Yes, a trip with people Ive never met "in real life".
But that's how amazing it is.

so I guess all that to say is this:
Blogging has also changed how I view the ways God wants to bring me friendships.
He is creative, no?
And I so so thankful.

ok I'm done now I promise. :)
Yay for watching yall's Vlogs today!!
And if you haven't done one before, but want to...this is a fun opportunity, so come join in!
Blessings today friends!!

  1. i totally agree with you on how it makes me reflect on things differently when the Lord is speaking to me. I am always thinking, how would i explain this or write this out. Almost everything nowadays he shares with me , i feel comfortable posting. yet i have written things that are just sitting in my drafts... loved hearing your heart. such a loving spirit you seem to have =) thanks for sharing and cohosting.

  2. Oh yes, you explained how I feel way better than I did in my vlog. How it changed me is pretty much the same as you :)

  3. You are so right, it is so hard to condense it for a vlog! I think you did a great job though! :) I think blogging makes me notice the little moments as well, especially with my daughter.

  4. Great job co-hosting! The topic was a challenge for me but after some thought I was able to see how blogging has changed me :) I do the same as you when God says something to me and I try to think how I could blog about it so others will hear it the same way. I actually wrote a post like that yesterday. So much of my heart goes into those posts.

  5. Its nice to "meet" you Sarah! I really like your point that in processing personal things, figuring out how to explain it to others (like in a blog post) really gives me a deeper reflection.

  6. I love you Sarah! I love how you say that thinking about what you will write in a post makes you reflect on things differently. You are so right. That is exactly how I feel about some posts sometimes. Being able to take the simple things and show how the Lord is really moving in our lives.

  7. I couldn't agree more. It also holds me accountable for those same things. It makes me press into Him more, be more intentional with my kids, etc. Blogging is a beautiful, beautiful thing :)

  8. I think we might have said the same thing :) I totally relate with reflecting in a different way because you want to share it with people - I think that's a good thing! I love your sweet heart to encourage and be real!

  9. You are so, so right about being more aware. I talked about being able to express myself in my video, but I am totally more aware about my environment.

  10. I talked about awareness and the "little things" too!!! I also thought of a lot of things I could have said after the fact ;) Either way, I love this prompt, and I am happy to have met you through it! xoxo

  12. Yes, you're so right! I do approach moments/situations differently thinking about how I would write about them. And about changing attitude towards what community and fellowship looks like- me too! God has taken a time when it has been difficult to build up community right around me and introduced me to a few girls through blogging who have been a source of prayer and encouragement, which is amazing! Great vlog!

  13. I agree with you! I definitely see and process little things differently since I started blogging. I see community and fellowship a lot different, too. It's beyond my comprehension, how God has worked through us and in us, individually and collectively, as a blogging community!

PS. Are you going to Influence? I am and I'd love to meet you if you are!

  14. Blogging has definitely made me aware of little moments....I totally get what you are saying! Love your blog! I definitely need to me more intentional about taking pictures of our family! I also leave other blogs being encouraged and challenged!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment.

    Blessings!

  15. I understand what you mean about becoming more aware of little moments through blogging - I totally feel the same way, including being more thoughtful about taking pictures!
